Musical Director Alison Daniels
Born in Zambia and raised in the North of England, Alison held a music scholarship at Uppingham School before studying music at Pembroke College Cambridge, and voice at the Royal Northern College of Music, where she was awarded the Frances Furness Scholarship. She then began her career in Manchester, where she worked with the Halle Orchestra, the Goldberg Ensemble and the Manchester Camerata, in addition to being one of the BBC Daily Service's ensemble of professional singers.

Now based in Cambridge, Alison works as a singer, vocal coach, and choir director. She continues to perform as a consort singer in London churches, and in the Cambridge group, The Cantabrigians, as well as performing in oratorio and recital nationally.

More recently Alison has studied conducting with Paul Spicer and Adrian Lucas as a scholar at English Choral Experience Summer School in Dore Abbey. She now conducts both St Ives Choral Society and the Meridian Singers, and is in demand as a vocal coach for choirs and individuals.

Alison is passionate about facilitating excellent quality music-making experiences for musicians of all ages and calibres.
